Changelings in Paris
The New Years Festival is a a Masked Ball. On New Years Eve they build a large effigy, inviting other courtiers to decorate it. This effigy is buried according to common catholic practice, in reference to all of the Changelings who have fallen. Once the burial is over, they begin the ball. At the ball, there is one rule, no one can reveal their identity. The ball goes from 9:00 P.M. on New Years Eve to Midnight on New Years Day, 27 hours of revelry. Most people wander in and out, there are rooms provided for people to sleep and refreshments are provided all the time.
